Your Scars (8/30/09)

A Poem by Katseye

Your Scars

Your Scars:
Do they represent,
Soul wonds deep?
Are they just camouflage?
Your true pain a secret to keep.

Will you let me in?
Let me help;
With hand and heart,
To lend.
Am I not your friend?

From me you can not hide,
Your true self inside.
Just an angel...
In disguise.

But I see the truth.
Black and white,
Right and wrong,
Are not so...
Cut and dried now.

Kindred spirits unite.
It is we...
Who have the might.
We who can...
Make the wrongs, right.
Do not hide my friend.
We all carry scars,
And wounds soul deep.
