Your Ring (11/1/09)A Poem by Katseye
Your Ring
When you see me;
Your eyes,
They sparkle so.
And your smile,
Could be seen for miles.
So I am compelled to ask...
The ring you wear:
Is it just for show?
To spare you from harassment?
Or are you truly wed?
If is...
Does your husband know,
That you flirt with me so?
What would he say,
If he could only see,
The way you look at me?
Does that smile greet him,
At the end of each day?
You've made him a promis,
And I'll not be the cause;
Should it be broken.
So I'll just pretend,
Not to see...
The way you gaze at me.
