Dreams (10/19/03)

A Poem by Katseye

Dreams

I gaze upon my child;
As she sleeps,
And wonder what dreams,
Behind closed lids creep.

Along what dreamscapes,
Do you roam?
Do  you folloe the butterflies,
To thier homes?
Or chase the clouds,
Through the skies?

Does your grandpa lift you up,
To float away on the breeze?
Or do you sip,
Sunsine from a cup?

In your peaceful slumber;
What colors do you paint,
The moss carper,
Your little feet under?

Do you know,
In your gentle sleep,
My little one,
What flowers there grow?

Can you,
My sweet child,
In your dreams feel;
My heart's longing now,
To see your warm smile?
