Rest My Love (8/99)

Rest My Love (8/99)

A Poem by Katseye

Rest My Love

Rest my love,
My darling one.
For your body is tired.
Your soul is weary,
From the burdens;
You must carry.
Let me lift them from you.
If only for a time.
Though I know my strength,
Yours can never match;
I am strong enough,
For this minor task.
Let my arms cradle you.
My love will protect you.
My strength can carry you on, For a while.
So my dear one,
Lay your burdens down,
And rest your  weary soul.
Rest my love, rest.
