Not in Love

 

How can I tell you,

What I need to say?

You must know.

I know I should  tell you,

Yet I fear it'll hurt you.

Though I know it's true,

Oh. waht can I do?

 

Time and again,

I turned to you;

When in need of support.

Friends so dear,

Are few and far apart.

Still I'm Not in love.

 

Just because,

I've cried on your shoulder,

And listened to your crazy dreams.

It doesn't really mean a thing.

 

Yea, I've dreamed,

A few crazy dreams,

Right along with you

And maybe I've even,

Held your hand.

Why can't you understand;

I'm in love with another man?

 

Yes, I know he's far away.

And you've seen me alone,

Day after day.

So we spent some time together.

 

We found friendship in one another.

Our views of the world;

They run parallel.

Yes we've had some fun.

Still my dear,

I'm not in love.

 

What more can I say?

Yes, I care for you,

But I'm not in love,
