I Was Wrong

In our time together,
I made many mistakes.
But the greatest of them all,
Was letting you go.

I was a temperamental fool.
With you I started bitter arguments,
Fights I ment to win.
Blind enough to think I could;
Even though I was wrong from the start.

I was jealous and insecure,
Scared and unsure.
Could you love me aws you said,
Like none before?

I'd lose my temper;
Make you mad.
I accused you without thinking,
And hurt you.
I admit I was wrong.

For the arguing and pain,
I was to blame.
Still my greatest mistake,
Was the day,
I let you walk away.

All the stupid fights I started,
But could never win;
All the nights my insecurities,
Came between us;
You forgave them all.

Still in the end I lost.
For you still left.
