I Could Not See


Is this real?
Is it just a dream?
Can this be happening?
Am I really here with you?

My dreams;
They seem to be coming true.

Here I am lying next to you,
It just doesn't seem real.
I reach out,
Touch you face,
Afraid you might just disappear.
I close my eyes to sleep,
Wondering, will you still be hear when I wake.

I'm so afraid to believe:
That this time it's for real.
We've both been hurt before,
Afraid to trust love this time around.
It took me so long to open my eyes,
To see the love staring me in the face.

How could I have been so blind?
Love's been by my side all along.
You've been with me from the start,
Loving me though,
I could not see.
