To Know The Truth (1994)

A Poem by Katseye

To Know the Truth

Am I ready;
To know the truth?
Will I know your touch again?
Is it gone for good?
I set you free,
That's all I could do.
I stood there with tears in my eyes.
The pain of goodbye, then;
It wasn't final.

Now I fear for the time when;
You'll say it's over for us.
I don't want to wait any longer.
I want to know the truth,
Is there anything left for us?
Is this the end?
Can we make this work?

I need to know my love.
Maybe I'll never know the truth.
But for your sake and mine,
I need to know.
