I Dared to Dream of You (11/2/94)

I Dared to Dream of You (11/2/94)

A Poem by Katseye

I Dared to Dream of You

I took the chance;

Dared to dream of you.

Though I saw the end,

Long before the start.

Still I dared to give you my love,

My heart.

Now I dare to dream,

Dream of a future,

I can never have.

A future with you.

But you must leave,

That I know.

I dare to risk the pain in the end,

Even though I know,

I will lose you.

For I have so much to gain,

I dare to risk all that I am;

Just so I can hold you in my arms.

Still I dare to dream,

Of a future for us,

That we may never have.

I dare to dream the dream,

So that I may always hold you.

I will keep you in my heart,

As long as I dare-

To dream of you.
