The Tablet

The Tablet

A Poem by Katseye

The Tablet (1989)

I've come to know that man values his privacy.
I've also come to know that man is a curious creature.
As young children we are taught:
To respect the need for privacy.
Yet it seems to me that,
We forget with age.
Or do we just ignor it?
As some ignore a tablet left on a desk.
With noone around;
It's too tempting to ignor.
Because in it something is written.
Something you don't know,
So the closed tablet must be opened.
Opened to see what's written there.
Even if the writer wanted it kept privet.
I leave you this warrning;
Keep your tablets with you,
For yours may be,
The next one found,
Opened and read.
