Dying Inside (11/29)

Dying Inside (11/29)

A Poem by Katseye

Dying Inside

Picking at the wounds
You left
In my heart and soul
Slowly bleeding out
Though no one can see
I wear a mask
Of civility
When in public
You'll always see me smile
Tears unshed
Flood my longs
Can't eat
For all the grief
I've swallowed
You walk on by
Confident in your pride
While inside
I die
And you can't even see

How many people walk about like this.
What is it they say. Time heals.
Never quite believed it.

Gee
Will show this to a good friend who after 20 years of marriage has now been left to raise her 3 children by a cheating husband. This is her at present summed up to a tee

I'm sorry to hear of her pain.... Hope this helps her to know she's not alone.
We tie so much of what IS us into our relationships forgetting how everafter you can't forget...

This is heart-wrenching but so common for those of us who have had our hearts broken. We put on a pretty front but inside we are completely devastated. Another beautiful write.
