My Skin (10/10/14

A Poem by Katseye

My Skin

Trapped within

My own skin

Can't reach

Past its walls

Pulling away from

Touch that burns like ice

My skin is a bandage

Wound much to tight

Can't breath

Or move quite right

Starting to loose feeling

In my fingers and toes

I want to break free

But my skin

It protects me

Without it

I'd bleed, sicken, and die

Yet within it

All I do

Is cry
