Cabin in the Woods (10/4/14)

A Poem by Katseye

Cabin in the Woods

There's a vine shrouded cabin

Deep in the woods

Peaceful and quiet

A cobbled walk

Leads away

Into the trees

A cool and shaded resting place

Lies deep in a mossy glen

Protected by pines

A crystal stream flows by

Where the willows wade

Whispering secrets

To the birds on wing

Squirrels stash acorns

From the mighty oak

Who's branched cradle cotton clouds

A child's dream

Fading into the mists

As days go speeding by

Memories lost to legend

And secrets die

At the cabin

In the woods
