Seven Tiny Stories on PerspectiveA Poem by Tina
1.
The most hopeful word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes the stars glimmer the brightest in the darkest nights. Sometimes dancing in the pouring rain rejuvenates a tired spirit. 2. The most uneasy word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes your ship sets sail without you on board. Sometimes you wonder if you're the only one not figuring it out. 3. The most miserable word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes I sigh when you laugh and wish I wasn't here. Sometimes I know you wouldn't miss me if I was gone. 4. The most lukewarm word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes we check off boxes and skip the fine print. Sometimes just fine is just as fine as it gets. 5. The most eager word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes you try and try and you find light up ahead. Sometimes you just know when meeting a fork in the road. 6. The most melancholy word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes you've gone back and forth and all there is has been said. Sometimes you still can't see to meet them where they're at. 7. The most contented word In the whole wide world Is the word sometimes. Sometimes an old friend's smile assures you of your path. Sometimes a warm summer sunset promises you another tomorrow. © 2015 Tina |
