Seven Tiny Stories

Seven Tiny Stories

A Poem by Tina

1.
The most uneasy word
In the whole wide world
Is the word sometimes.

Sometimes we're up.
Sometimes we're down
Sometimes I know why.
Sometimes I hit the ground.

2.
The most eager word
In the whole wide world
Is the word then.

A maze of hallways then a path.
Endless details then a bold idea.
Strange faces then warm smiles.
The sun rises then to a new era.

3.
The most miserable word
Is the whole wide world
Is the word before.

I thought I could before.
It all made sense before.
Trying wasn't hard before.
Hope lifted me up before.

4.
The most lukewarm word
In the whole wide world
Is the word just.

She did just what she was told.
She got along just fine.
She knew just where to go.
She just colored inside the lines.

5.
The most melancholy word
In the whole wide world
Is the word tomorrow.

I'll show you tomorrow.
We'll go tomorrow.
Let's look at that tomorrow.
It'll be okay tomorrow.

6.
The most irksome words
In the whole wide world
Are the words instead and got.

I asked for wheat instead got rye
I ordered red instead got yellow
I asked for orchids instead got daisies
I planned to fly instead got driven

7.
The most cheery word
In the whole wide world
Is the word really.

He really soaked it in.
He really got a lot.
He really kept at it.
He really found it all.

About
I've always found the "about me" section confining and flat. How to sum up one's essence in a few lines of descriptive text? But no matter: I find clarity in nature and lightning storms sooth my soul.. more..
