Dandelion Seed

Dandelion Seed

A Poem by Tina

What do you ache for?
What moves you?
What do you yearn for?

Your blank stare is not answer enough.

How is your tired, uninspired, mild, existence cause enough to stand?

Your preference in slinking, eking.
Reactive to whatever your unintention colludes
Trumpets your insatiable thirst for distraction.

Such blatant nothingness.
unwillingness to feel,
unwillingness to live,

How do you not see your soul shrivel with each aimless breath?

How do you not see,
now,
standing before me,
the shell of a man?
The shell of a soul you once were?

How do you not cry out in desperation
As your one life,
grains of sand,
slip through your fingertips?

How do you not look upon each one, fingers outstretched
Vehemently grasping
seeds of a dandelion
floating off into the evening sun.
no longer yours to have
and having never thought to seize them?

Your blank stare,
Still not answer enough
Now back home
in quant distraction

About
I've always found the "about me" section confining and flat. How to sum up one's essence in a few lines of descriptive text? But no matter: I find clarity in nature and lightning storms sooth my soul.. more..
