I Prayed

I Prayed

A Poem by Kate Z.

I Prayed
I prayed, Carry me, Lord;
He said, Be of good courage.
I prayed, Strengthen me, Lord;
He said, Believe in Me.
I prayed, Hold me, Lord;
He said, I will never leave you.
I prayed, Help me, Lord;
He said, My Spirit is within you.
I prayed, Teach me, Lord;
He said, Humble yourself.
I prayed, Change me, Lord;
He said, Pray without ceasing.
I prayed, Use me Lord;
He said, Trust Me.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him to be the glory..."  (Ephesians 3:20-21)

His answers are infinitely more practical than the answers I think I want or that I expect. I have all I need for life and for godly living.
