The hardest part

The hardest part

A Poem by ChristineAnn

The hardest part is letting go.
Having to admit to yourself or someone else that this isn't it.
Realizing you or someone else is unhappy and they might not feel the same way.
Knowing someone might get hurt.
Having the memories fresh on your mind.
The emptiness it may come with after.
Having to adjust to the idea of no longer being next to each other.
The hardest part is letting go.
You just feel numb after words.

I love the emotion. But my heart breaks at the same time. The way you described the entire thought process is amazing. I to have been there.
The words you use flow so beautifully.
You did an excellent job here. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work.

"You just feel numb after words," that line summed everything up. It's funny how just mere words can be so hard to say at times. Even though all you have to do is simply say something, it's kinda hard to do when thinking of what may happen afterwards...things can get ugly to say the least. I think many people can relate to this poem.
