Anxious

Anxious

A Poem by BehindTheMask

Anxiously awaiting. Waiting for the sky to rise. Waiting to open my eyes. Tomorrow I get another chance to shine. It’s my time to untwine. Say goodbye to the sorrow, the hate, and the worry. My visions to become more clear, not blurry. I’ve been waiting for forever and a day not knowing which way to stray. Confident? A little. Scared? A lot. I have these feelings, but it won’t wreck my plot. I have everything I need to succeed. The man of my dreams and the people I need. Now it’s up to me to decide on what I want to be, where I want to go, and what I want to see. I won’t let my mind take control, it’s my turn to rule the world.

My world that is.

This makes me think of Caterpillars with restless legs syndrome. Way to keep it real though. Also, I noticed that this is definitely written with a different pattern than most poetry. Way to be more original. Keep it up!

I love what you wrote.
I think it is good, when life is chaotic, to sit and write that, basically, everything is going to be okay. I try to tell myself the same things right before I go to work everyday. Hehe. Thanks for the write!
