Supernatural The doors to the auditorium call to me Something is wrong... I can sense it. There he lies Darkness stands towering above Red gleams from the center of insanity Screaming, I match her tone in fear She turns to stare Spotlights shine through the haze To where he lies in fear A figure, some power comes from up there The darkness has frozen. No more sounds, only silence from me I stare as the figure opens his book He chants in a deep, perfect voice She is in pain A tormented hiss escapes from her throat Or was it from behind me? Confusion settles in as her claws spear the air Is my loved one alive? The darkness turns and leaps towards him He who chants falters, and falls Darkness envelops, crushes and defeats But I think I see a light… The angel’s wings prevail now Light pierces her defenses A ray of holy strength beams down My loved one is awake now I rush to him as if life depended on it “She’s Gone, She’s Gone!” I sob he smiles and embraces, well again Both of us smile towards the light The chanting angel stoops over He reaches down a gentle hand “I’m Dean”, he says, “I’m glad you’re safe” I blink, and he is gone A bed replaces the floor And I know my nightmare is no more… © 2008 Phoenix AlleenaAuthor's Note
