Heart’s Song
Sitting here in English class Staring through unbroken glass, Just thinking of things old and new. Outside, the birds will fly The clouds will open up and cry But I’ve got better things to do The horizon holds a spark of light, An understanding just in sight But you haven’t got a clue. I smile ‘cause time ticks so fast This long class just cannot last. The last bell begins to ring, And my soul begins to sing, I’ve been saving the lyrics for you. © 2008 Phoenix AlleenaAuthor's Note
