Dedication to September

I’m turning into a poet

And it’s all because of this

Free verse bottle up inside

My pen, but not my mind.

 

You can try to convince me

Try to persuade me

That all of this is

My own doing

 

I’m just a writer

A Story Writer!

Mind the ‘Story’ part,

That’s what’s in my heart.

 

I’m turning into a poet

And all I can say is this

Thank you for the words

And your unforgiving stares

 

I know that deep inside

I’ve been a poet the whole time.
