Lady

Lady

A Poem by Katie Kistler

I wish I could write like the girl with the hair
Well if she wanted she could take the world
Never one for pop until she sung about the air
Like static that hangs around girls

Is she a princess, is she a king?
Asking her to get down on her knees
Worship me she says
Pray to me
Make me your religion and I’ll give you everything
Hey yeah lady
Hey yeah lady
I heard you sing

I wish I could love like the girl with the heart
Well if she wanted she could break you sweet
Never one for sensitivity in different parts
From mine but I’ve grown to love the cling

Does she want coffee, does she want tea?
Well, I swear she’ll never want for anything
When she’s with me she says
That she’s happy
And if I make her happy that’s the best f*****g thing
Hey yeah lady
Hey yeah lady
You loving thing
