FourA Poem by Katie Kistler
I saw a boy with a face like glass
Hardly there and barely intact I saw the space inside his hands Where her fingers used to be I know a girl with a mind like wind Never knows where it's going but it's sure to win I saw it stop at a faded grey tinted Stone where her memory lays I saw a man with a concrete chest Thin pressed mouth and a charcoal vest I saw the blue that knew him best Better than anyone else I have a friend with a dozen graves Of four legged friends and she can list the names I saw her fall apart today She never falls for anything else © 2018 Katie Kistler |
