The Science Behind ItA Poem by Katie Kistler
I'll explain the science
In each tiny moving part The vessels and the strands In our DNA and all the stars I'll say this can be our always Blow this dandelion far Disperse this life and watch it thrive Now watch it fall apart Bioluminescence Makes your ocean eyes Seem like glowing fluorescence Two sun-kissed butterflies As every cell inside your body Works to keep your soul alive You write off every theory Unexplained and unaligned The moon in all its wonder No bigger than your own Is searching for a dark place That it can call it's own You'll say galaxies are nothing Compared to what you are You and I are small, my dear But we won't fall apart © 2015 Katie Kistler |
