Alice

Alice

A Poem by Katie Kistler

moon, oh my moon
starry-eyed gloom
you are a sigh in the night
you are an empty room
whimper in your heartstrings
burning up your lungs
when we fall apart we
stitch up what we've sewn
ripple in the water
and climb a blade of grass
filling up a bad state
so nothing good will pass

it's all in perfect symmetry
in your mind
it's sacred geometry
your third eye
as oceans twist and patterns turn
I'll follow your bodyburst
