Alina

Alina

A Poem by Katie Kistler

you're too cute, red and blue
a small voice with small lips
and your glasses are dark like your eyes
a black tunnel abyss
can I hold you ever so tight
hold the hand that twirls your hair
your fragile fingers locked in mine
when you feel hurt and you feel scared
cause when you smile at me I feel complete
which you do most everyday
and everybody's thinking "STD"
when I mention your name
but I see the way you fall too hard
for every boy you meet
when you look for love s**t gets so tough
cause it's cheap and makes you bleed
but I'm the kind of person
who would wait right through the storm
just to be a fair weather friend
so I can keep you safe from harm
and if I kiss you on the side
or you whisper that you're mine
well that's a plus because you'd get it
I'd let you keep whatever you find
so cut open my chest
rip my heart out; be my guest
it's probably broken but that's okay
you can fix it if you stay
so let me stay
I'll let you stay
can we please stay
I want you to stay
I wanna stay
ask me to stay
so I know you'll stay
Alina, stay
