Agony is All You're Good For

Who are you?

The forgotten background character in someone else’s larger story. You aren’t important. The world would keep spinning without you. Do you understand how pathetic you are? Even your kind gestures are overlooked by those who are supposed to be your friends. And who even are your friends? You aren’t shy of the claim that you have few, and the ones whom you do claim, do they even know you? All you’ve done is dragged them down.

Your heart doesn’t matter. Nothing good you do means anything. No one cares about you. And as much as you claim you’re okay, you’re not. Don’t you look forward to the day when you’ll fade from the memory of this world? You hold no place in anyone’s heart. And especially not in the hearts of those who you love the most. What does that say about you? Look how desperate you are. Look how you cling so needily to the fabrics of people who could afford to lose your dead wait.

You deserved your torture. It was the only way anyone got any use out of you. Agony is all you’re good for, so why do you even try? That’s when your worth ended, when you thought you were anything more than someone meant for the sidelines of someone else’s story.

No one knows you. You hardly know yourself. So what good are you?
