Love is to be Shared

Just your average 'I love you more than you love me' story that seems to always be my life.

If love is to be shared why does it make us so selfish?
Isn't love meant to be mutual
Felt by two?
Or by a family?
Why does love make us evil?
Make us do things we will regret?
I regret.
Falling in love with you.
You used me!
Used me for your own selfish deeds!
You made me fall in love with you.
You selfish fool!
I gave you everything!
I shared everything with you.
I gave you my word.
I gave you my loyalty.
I gave you myself.
And you took for me granted!
Isn't love meant to be given?
Isn't love meant to be mutual?
The joining of two?
But you made it one way.
I loved you but you did not love me.
Was I not worth it?
Was I not worth your love?
Was it too much to ask for you?
Too much to want you?
We were supposed to be united!
Allied together.
Forever.
But I wasn't worth it.
Isn't love meant to be shared?
Why did you hog if for yourself?
As if you could never be loved again?
As if I was the only love you would ever receive?
And what about me?
What did you leave to me?
Nothing.
You never gave me you.
All I wanted was you.
The true you.
The you that made me get up every morning.
The you that made me want to fight.
The you that made me want to love.
Love is supposed to be gifted.
Not hidden for selfish needs!
Why couldn't you love me?
Why couldn't you share with me?
Was love so important to you, you couldn't return it?
Couldn't love me back.
I loved you so much.
But I got nothing in return.
Nothing but a selfish man.
Full of my love.
