Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Kate H

- Why do I sit here, waiting on that call? Why do I sit and wait at all? I should have known better than to just give in but then, there was always "what might have been." - Don't be mistaken, "our time," I don't regret it but the countless times I've wept alone, I'll never be able to forget it! - I eye that monotonous clock, waiting for that call. Maybe it's best that you don't even give me a thought, just don't think of me at all! - I'm confused, let down, lost and empty inside but there's still with one thing that I must reside- do I hold on? Do I let go? All past tense aside, I want you to know - yes, it will hurt for a while, but not for long, because even after you, I will move on!!
