Wandering Soul Of A Gypsy

Wandering Soul Of A Gypsy

A Poem by Kate H

- Awakened to clouds of grey overcoming skies of bright and given to me again- another sleepless night. Thoughts of my dreams reawaken a feeling of yearning as once again, it's been laid at my feet. They afford none other than only heartache - the in between being more bitter than sweet. - Searching frantically for that light, the one that guides my way, gives me hope for momentum, to conquer another day. Strong I may be but sometimes lost, surly more than any other- I'll prod also through tomorrow, with hopes for the strength to sail through another. - My secrets, my longings, they accompany every repetitious night, yet I'll awake with new wings to take on a new day's flight. Soaring, towering above all I can see...I'll allow the wandering for this soul of a gypsy, it's meant to be free.
