Holding HopeA Poem by Kate H
- The longing for freedom to elope this place. Dark history within, steals the smile from his face.
- Disbursing shame upon himself, as if under a spell - quietly I listen, for he has a story to tell. - Memories of good, indifferent and bad- beginning of his tale, the things he once had. - Stories of hardship, rough being and pain. Times he thought he'd gone mad and nearly insane. - Beholder of heartaches, amounts of tears more than small. Seemingly feeble shoulders, the willingness to fall. - Discouraging scenes flash in his eyes but displaying a heart where his truest hope lyes. - I pray for capability to rewind time, replace his pain with a smile, prove to him that his existence, is more than worth the while. © 2014 Kate HReviews
