Commonplace

Commonplace

A Poem by Kate H

A well known, "hole in the wall," kind of place. The sound of passing traffic just outside the door, never ventures off, at least not too far or for too long.
With common drapery, common commodities, colors of common upon the walls, now sluggishly appearing and the chattering amongst those nearby, the sun lazily ascends atop the horizons eclipse and with it, induction to life again as it's a brand new day.
Consistent commotion to and fro, in and out even up and down serve almost as if an alarm, hinting of participation now due, at least as to claim some slight bit of normalcy or so within the scouting, judging eyes of others.
Though repetitive and now more common than, "just so," this conclusion by choice with- holds an oddly, almost comforting confinement, a solitude, a oneness, if ever one truly exist.
If only these walls could talk; adventure and happening as well as misadventures and mishaps would likely be told of the passers through here but this simple square placement, has never a story to tell nor a word to utter. Instead, a mere stripping of linens and always ears for the next brief possessor of it's common adoption.

Common places need common adoption. I like that a lot. Brilliant. This was a very good read...:)................
