Unveiling of Greed

Unveiling of Greed

A Poem by Kate H

What is it surrounding death, that unveils greed? Lunacy among humanity? Atrocious monstrosity so carelessly freed?
A sound mind present, endures sorrow for what it has lost, all of it and the depths of the costs.
Opposing the side of light- Greedy craftiness, coercing things to turn askew. In the plainest of exhibition, truest of complexions steadily seep through.
The torment is still present, it is far from gone. Greed in it's variety, will never leave you alone!
You'll pay thrice restitution with every dreadful seed you've sewn. This monster will rear an unsightly head and with the duration that has passed, by this time it's grown.
Days of soon, with slow peering about and the harsh realization of what is now missing; expending remaining existence with a thought from the past. Silently, miserably reminiscing.
Smiles of worthy times, though fathomless sorrow buried within sad- had greed not played your part, my at the opulence you could have had!

Your work is so good for its power and philosophy.
These lines were amazing:
"slow peering about and the harsh realization of what is now missing; expending remaining existence with a thought from the past. Silently, miserably reminiscing."

Some insights have a cost... a price few wish to pay. Some understandings are deeper than others too.
