Empathy BestowedA Poem by Kate H
A shimmer, a sort of twinkling held within his eyes...it tells tales of a life well known to hardship, still a life worth filling yet, he remains bound, imprisoned, cemented in a desolate dwelling, a dwelling well beyond my outreach of assist from the monstrous anomalies that besiege him.
Round dark, dingy street corners, he is familiar with people and places that burden consistent clouds of tempest atop their heads. Mingling still, he's an awareness that he's no belonging amidst this rigid, unwilling to set a soul free, hell. He takes, steals from me as he does with anyone yet a malevolence on my very own part is absent; for I empathize with where he is bound, know the harboring feelings and am all too familiar with the breath taking grasps and strong hold of such a seemingly minuscule matter. I can coincide wholly, with his existent agony..... © 2013 Kate HReviews
