Finally Free

Finally Free

A Poem by Kate H

- My earthly existence is over, God has called me home. Do not cry tears of sadness over me, for I am not alone. I'm with family and other loved ones, in which God has called upon too- I can rest assured you're alright because I'm always watching out for and looking over you.
- It was my time to part, He dealt me that card but where I am now, life is no longer hard. With no sadness and no tears about, only joyful smiles, this beautiful kingdom before me, it spans for miles!
- Beholding angels, sights and smells galore, this is my idea of Heaven and I'm ready to see more!
- Please don't cry tears of sorrow for me, I want you to know I'm happy here, I am finally free!!

oh grief, we roll in, like the Tide it Hides, then a pin prick and it floods, and all around stare, streaks trace the face, brushed away back of my hand, back of my glove , Leather soaked world.

Thank you very much! :)
I have been told that sorrow is for the living and not the dead - that the dead are better off. This piece speaks to that - we grieve because we miss someone - and that someone may just be rejoicing. Well done

Being free is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding sentiments ...I like how your poem has this element of darkness and freedom in it...Bravo
