Monster

Everyone has a monster.
The difference between good people and bad people
                  is the monster.
Good people don't let the monster
                                     lash out.
Good people know the monster is there
                             but they control it,
                                they command it.
There are no good people
No one can completely control the monster.
We all hurt.
We all hate.
We all blame.

Bad people let the monster
                           lash out.
Bad people know the monster is there,
                   or can't see the monster,
                    but they can't control it,
                       they can't command it.
There are a lot of bad people.
Because no one can completely control the monster.
We all hate.
We all hurt.
We all blame.
And there is nothing we can do,
Because the monster is strong.
There is nothing we can do,
Because the monster is us.
And to rid of the monster would be to destroy ourselves.

Truthfull, overall a great poem, yet, somehow I felt the last line was misplaced, or perhaps it could've been written differently (mainly because the poem doesn't explain why everyone has a monster inside, it just says we have it and what it does). Great poem nevertheless.

I love this!!! I mean, it explains the constant struggle us human beings deal with everyday.
We say we do good thing, but no one is perfect, and that's just a fact we must face.
You're words flowed so well that this revalation would hit even the stupidest baby like a ton of bricks. You did a great job on helping the world realize these things, keep it up.
