Love. Love keeps us alive. Love holds us close. Love wraps its arms around us. Love keeps us warm. Love fills that space, that hole, that darkness, In our hearts.
Love. Love keeps us alive, Until it gets ripped away. Love holds us close, Until those arms are gone. Once Love leaves us, We are alone once more. Love fills that space, that hole, that darkness, In our hearts.
So why do we love? We need to feel whole. We need to fill that space, that hole, that darkness, In our hearts. Even if it tears us apart, Again and again.
Katie the first time i read this, i fell in love with it. I really like the last line because it seriousley takes hold of what it feels like to be in love. Like you go through it again and again because you just can't seem to get it right. You just can't seem to be able to fill all the space, the holes, the darkness. :)
i think that the answer to that question you inserted "so why do we love" is precisely the line you used almost like a refrain: "love keeps us alive". from what you describe here, love seems to be the most beautiful face of human masochism, tearing us apart "again and again". humans need love. because humans are made in love and with love :).
very good. I believe love comes in different forms. In life you need the love of a spouse, friend, your parents, your children and your extended family. There is so much love that it translates to different types with different people in your life.
