When Night Falls

The sun goes down

the mind is racing

The moon shines in

my heart is pacing

I feel sad

when he is not near

I think inside

and ponder fear

I hate this feeling

I just don't know

how to let my mind go

I know it's love

but inside I'm scared

in a few months many memories shared

what if he decides to go away

how do I pull him in to make him stay?

I know it's crazy

this life unknown

but it seems a custom

to which I have grown

I see the diamonds in his eyes

I know with him my future lies

I will look to God

I will not fear

I know one day

he will be here

So for now

I wait for his calls

and I know this is life
