Introversion

Introversion

A Poem by Kathy Mc Cathy

Treated as a black mark on a white sheet
As if living in our minds has become the plague
Introversion is seen to be a disease in need of a cure
A biased opinion to be more outgoing

In the solitude of nature ,
The most revolutionary of ideas have been concocted
In its amidst , the mind works the best for many
Leading to visceral thoughts and epiphanies

Resent this, after fixing a typo :)

A valuable message, Kathy, well written :)
"Intro-version," makes me think of "introducing a new version," and sounds like "Innovation." So many Greats in history have been introverts.
Where would we be,
if for hours upon hours,
Isaac Newton had not sat alone
under his big old apple tree? :)))

A thought provoking piece of writing Kathy. I have always hated crowds and parties are not my scene. I prefer much smaller gatherings. However, I am not a loner and like a busy household, which I have. Always good though, for quiet moments to think and reflect. It's all about balance. Happy Tuesday.

You are welcome :)
I myself am very much a loner and tend to have social anxiety if I'm out and about too much. I feel a bit of discomfort being around too many people despite the fact I'm easily approachable and can have long discussions about almost anything. A middle balance would probably be best to strive for but I don't discourage those that find solace in isolation or being by themselves. This is a very nice thought provoking piece Kathy with a subject I feel many may have an opinion on. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.

I do not think of myself as being introverted, but I am a fierce loner. Just as in your poem, I find that there's a welcoming community out there in nature, whereas being amongst the human throngs can sometimes make a standoffish person feel like a misfit (((HUGS)))

Hello dear Kathy. Finding peace in nature. A blessing for the wise. I like quiet places, the lake, the sea and the forest. I enjoyed your words and thoughts. I agree, we need to allow our mind to gather it strength in the arms of nature. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
