Blank JournalA Poem by Kathy Mc CathyThe first page filled with a ivory fang of a carnivoreOn Halo’s eve ,rests my journal under the moonlight The crows and bats croaking in their flight Switching on the lamp , to fill my blank journal in light As I ruffle through its blank pages with a memory in fright The empty journal was not so empty any more The first page filled with a ivory fang of a carnivore Next was a squashed eyeball bleeding hard-core Another was a forced cut finger with an appearance to abhor Who is the one , who could do such a outrageous thing Is it just a childish prank or something supernatural i think Out the window , not much afar , a tombstone , is it its doing ? I hear footsteps not too far , its probably its doing , just an inkling I want to meet this fellow who’s been fixating his eyes on me all this time The footsteps , the journal gave it , and the pungent smell of bitter lime Peeking from the window , I caught his gaze with bloodshot eyes For another day to tell the continued tale of these enigmatic crimes © 2021 Kathy Mc CathyAuthor's Note
