Carpe Diem

Plucking the shiniest ripe cherry , of the big ‘ol tree 

Savoring each moment of its tangy taste with glee

That’s my pastime daydream with twisted turned story 

I stare at things without knowing I do , and think about something else 

Whether it's worry of doing something silly or the sudden joy of the ringin bells

All I do is think , all up inside my mind ,

That’s my living room , with plenty of space inside 

A wise man says “ Carpe Diem “ 

Seize the moment , each and every day 

Whether it's an opportunity unlooked , just enjoy the happiness at the end of the day 

Be in the moment , don’t wait for the shiniest cherry 

Just pluck the best one that’s all , Don’t wait for Christmas to be merry 

Just let your creative juices flow , Make the most your time 

Whether it's writing a poem like me or planning the perfect crime

You're absolutely right bout that Chris , most of us actually don't ,no matter how much importance it has , It because of our fears , Fears from the past and fears for the future is the reason most of us spent time dwelling in those moments rather in the present . Seizing the day, preferably the moment, is the most important thing we can do, for life exists only in the present moment, past and future being but phantoms. As the poet puts it "Don't wait for Christmas to be merry." Properly scrutinized, there is more in the now than we could ever suspect.

Thanks John beautifully said , present is truly the gift , alot can be changed.in the.present ,making the right decisions in the present will make your future . Dwelling on the past and future too much is useless for there is so clue how our life plays out , just do the next right thing and hope for the best for the future .

I might just give up writing poetry, and start planning that crime...
I might be doing time for writing bad poetry anyway....might as well rob a bank...or maybe

I have already committed the perfect crime...killing a poem with impunity.
