Daft Daffodil

Curious and curiouser 

The daft  daffodil

It’s what everybody called her ,

Cuz she never kept her mouth shut

One day she asked 

“Why is it nobody asks questions and only live life the way they have “

The nonchalant poppy by her side said

“It's because we ne’er needed to ask “

The whimsical wise daffodil said 

“ I could ask a thousand questions , a hundred and million times”

I’ve got a good one right now 

Why are you poppy , jealous of rose and thyme ?

A nice write , inspired by Dylan's poem structure , just 12 lines! , If ur poppy what would u say to the last ques , enlighten me ! 😜

Hmmm, if I were nonchalant Poppy, and if I were jealous of Rose and Thyme, I would attempt to answer your question with a question, which of course you would not let me get away with, so at your insistence (and feeling a sudden urge-to-honesty) I would say, "Because I wish I were as beautiful as Rose, and as spicy as Thyme."

Asking lotsa questions is good, that is what the best writers do, asking others and asking ourselves. They also write in their own unique Voice, just like you do, Kathy, so kiu! (keep it up!)

Thanks a lot , the credit of asking goes to my dad tho , I have a thing for physics but I used to mug it up ,my dad every now n then asks me to ask the why in things , and that's why I now ask questions , or even have the guts to ask the silliest of ques , thanks Dylan , I've seen ur poems , and some just crack me up like the chicken and the egg one

What a great metaphorical poem you write here....sometimes an overly jealous person wants to instill jealousy in other person's mind because that way the person wants to draw a parallel line for him....nicely penned

It's cool that you were inspired by a line in Dylan's poem to write this. I like how the daffodil and poppy become metaphors for human emotions, such as jealousy.
