Remember Me?

Remember Me?

A Poem by Wallflower
"

My old friend keeps popping up to say hello

"

Hello dear friend,

Do you remember me?

I’m the person you used to be;

I’m your past, in present time,

It’s gone by fast, but you’re doing fine.

Just don’t forget me or who we were,

There’s important answers, we must confer,

Cuz time, its passes, as much as you,

This much I know, we must construe,

For we must forewarn our future self

And in doing so I’m reminding you

To take the time to take note of who

You are today and all you seek,

For future us will surely weep

For all the things she doesn’t know

Because she left the answer

Somewhere in long ago.

And at this moment that is where you reside,

In your future’s past, where memories die,

So remember me, you, and I

And all the lived life from which we derive.

This was unbelievably beautiful. I love the rhyming of it--I really mean that when I say so. The flowing and rythym of it was just resplendant; "I'm your past, in present time, It's gone by fast, but you're doing fine". It was hard to pick a favorite line, but this stood out. This is going into my favorites!
I don't want to sound generic, but please keep up the good work!
