CounteractionA Poem by WallflowerI can only binge as hard as i purgeOn the advent of an advent When possibility tosses her coin, The air becomes my foe. Suspending the silver, it’s held. Holding me in suspense. Taunting me with every turn, It helps to look away.
Look away to the South, Where the horizon lay. How many miles can divide Me from the boundaries of pain. Hope for an endless valley That reeks of fear and hate, A journey that will break my faith So that God I will berate.
At the edge of this South I will meet defeat. I shall bring my tragic flaw, Shakespearian elite. I’ll set the time and place, My breaking point will do" The only place that Surrender And I will ever rendezvous
Because possibility told me Chance glances North just the same, And when my eyes met the miles Her horizon then did claim: The extent to which you’ve lost Is the extent to which you can gain. So every step through sorrow, Is never such a shame.
