The Blasphemous Ballroom

The Blasphemous Ballroom

A Poem by Wallflower
"

Is anyone else tired of dancing?

"

Tear away the pieces,

Shred the flesh away,

Flee from the boundaries

That define the days.

Limb by limb,

Start with the hands,

The big one and the little one

That choreograph the dance.

Steps one through sixty

And sixty through one,

One more waltz to twelve

Another round and you’re done.

Titles hover over heads

Alluding to the truth,

A factual analysis

Based on coercive proof.

Which beat of the drum

Is it that you march to?

Watch your step,

You might regret

Piously dancing in the ballroom.

Watch your step,

they'll make you regret

Piously dancing in the ballroom.
