Speak Softer, Listen Harder.

Speak Softer, Listen Harder.

A Poem by Wallflower

My words they fall upon deaf ears.
Were they ever even said?
Or does this confirm all my worst fears:
Did they even leave my head?
I can't un-cry these useless tears,
For whom were they even shed?
The point itself, it disappears,
When you've wept for the undead.

My face it falls upon blind eyes.
I'm seen as vivid as the air.
But I can see right through their lies,
Though that justice still seems unfair.
For is the truth still such a prize...
When the truth is No One Cares.
How ironic that the last goodbyes,
Leave only your heart unprepared.

You can't unwrite
The spoken word

Tears within
Broken remains

Haunts till time
Relents a bit

Bittersweet taste
Tongue retains

Feeds heart core
For ever more

Mind blink winks
Eyes close Sad

Ear hears song
River moves along

Beneath bridge distant
To cascade gasp

Falling frightfully
Feeling forsaken

Horrible sigh decries
Foaming portent inside

You couldn't know
