Star like Love

Star like Love

A Poem by OnlycallmeKathryn

How about, I take the
Night-lit sky
And I turn it
Into a memory.
I point out each star and I name one
After every part of you that I enjoy
I'll have a star for every freckle and
There will be a cluster named after every time that you've laughed.
How about, I turn the
Constellations into
A new profound story
About how I fell for you
How about,
I look you in the eyes
and tell you
Right here,
right now
That I just don't want you to go
That I'd prepare supernovas
and serve the bright cutting edges
on a plate if it meant to keep you with me.
