Absence of Life

Absence of Life

A Poem by Kathrin

Silence filled by the rustling of leaves
The absence of light all around

Sitting with his legs crossed on the park bench
A question occurred to him regarding death

Is a man's condition prior to his conception
the same condition after his death?

If Darkness is the absence of Light,
then isn't Death the absence of Life?

Is a man dead before he is born?
Is he only dead after he has lived and then died?

This is so interesting...It can also be seen on a conscious level, birth can be viewed as the light of our true intention, and death can be seen as the darkness we become lost within. Nice work...

You raise a very interesting thought to ponder. Wouldn't it be most interesting to be able to find out, without having to cross that Final Threshold?

You have raised some intriguing philosophical questions here, Kathrin, that could have me pondering for the rest of my remaining years. Seriously though, you have obviously given much thought to the construction of this poem .
