![]() Leap of FaithA Poem by Katho28![]() That time when I took a leap of faith...![]()
You take my hand and whisper "jump",
Let's take a leap of faith, But I cannot swallow down the lump, And face the looming wave. The air is salty with my tears, I hold onto your hand, Your arms enclose around my fears, They'd leave at your command. I feel your gentle eyes on me, Helping me prepare, Upon your face, it's love I see, A beauty in the air. "Don't be afraid," I hear you say, Warm breath against my ears, "Don't worry, it's going to be okay..." And away flies all my fears. I plunge into the icy cold, Everywhere is black, But, ah, your hand's not there to hold, Oxygen I lack. Through the glassy blue-green waves, I see your leering face, There's still a part of me that craves, To feel the love ablaze. But alas, your love is nothing true, An illusion to the eye, And I'm drowning in the deep vast blue, My broken heart can't fly. I remember when you took my hand, And I took a leap of faith... And now, I have a wound to tend, A broken heart to save.
